I guess I'm feeling particularly sentimental tonight, but whatever. I'm going to chalk this up to the reaction I received two days ago in my expository writing class.
I wrote about my experience with domestic violence, namely verbal abuse, and my classmates shared their support as well as their anger with me. "I want to punch that guy in the face." "Thank you so much for sharing this." "You are a beautiful person, as anybody can see." I was terrified to share my experience with them, and I had a dizzy spell during the discussion of my writing, but I am thankful that they were supportive. Not to mention, they believed me.
